Stimulus payment received

Well my wife and I got our stimulus payments deposited into our accounts today. Unfortunately it was less then I expected. I thought we were both qualified for the 600 dollar maximum, yet we just got 300. Now that’s fine, the extra money is a boon. I started to pay down one of our credit cards. Used the whole entire amount on it. See I got a plan for that. I’m going to pay down this one card until it’s zero. Then I’m going to do a balance transfer of its full amount, and then pay down the OTHER card. Then do the same thing with that card, to our third and final card. Yes, I know. Problems. Just like the rest of America. The plastic problems are driving us under, but hopefully we’ll be overcoming those. I’m working very hard on doing that.

So the stimulus payment could actually help “stimulate” my families financial situation. Although I know that for most of the families in the United States, it’s far from enough. I truly wish that everyone’s economic situation could improve and that there were enough resources and support for all of this countries inhabitants. Until that time I think it’s important that sometimes we got to help those around us, even when it seems we have nothing with which to help. As bad as things get for you, there’s always someone who’s got it worse.

  2. Sounds like a good plan Mike. Most of my stimulus payment went strait to bills. I did go buy a $15 snow cone maker for my daughter since summer is around the corner. So I did stimulate the economy a little.

  3. I was waiting for the smiley face after that comment. =) Well that’s why we do what we can to increase our money. I’m confident though that soon, bills, bills, bills, will be lining my pockets instead of my mailbox. Lol.
