The 100 Top Money Making Blogs.
Make Money Online - Top 100 Blogs
Ok so I was on one of my favorite forums and the one that got me started Wickedfire and I was reading the blogging for bucks thread started by Andrew Wee. While perusing through the thread I found a reply that Andrew left posting this link to the top 100 money making blogs. Now I don’t know how they have determined it, I don’t think every single blogger or company is turning out bank records to them, but they must have a pretty reliable system.
As you look at the list you may notice some familiar names. There are lot’s of blogs there that you have probably seen on popular social networks lately like Digg, Stumbleupon, Technorati, and so on. I mean it’s really an awe inspiring list. To be honest it makes me feel almost very tiny. However because of the strong opinion I have of myself and my abilities, and the importance of my existing in the universe, I think I will survive.
If nothing else this page can serve as a wonderful resource on sites that you can emulate and learn from. What’s funny is that even though these are the top money makers, sometimes the content quality is complete and utter crap. I love it, only in our new online world can such flotsam be rewarded so gratuitously. I’m not the best writer in the world, nor am I the most knowledgeable, but some of these blogs really do have a lot of crap posts, and some I had admired before I had to take a second look at. I won’t mention any of their names, suffice it to say they do exist.
So of course, my goal (and every other blogger and they momma) is to get on this list and to pull in some dollars. However, that’s never been my goal with this site. This site I’ve always intended to be my personal archive of the process of reaching that goal. That’s not to say I don’t want this blog to make any money at all, that’d be stupid to say. However it’s not my main concern. This place is my sancto sanctorum. The steam room for my mind, the hot tub where I rest my down-trodden body and soul. It’s my experiment to see how far along I have come and how far I go, you know the usual stuff any old creative person wants.
There’s also another reason I’d love to be on this list. I want to reach people. There’s something so satisfying about knowing and realizing that you have an affect on someone. That your point of view, your thoughts, your knowledge has made a difference to them. It’s an interesting feeling and one that empowers a writer or speaker, and I have always been both. It’s also just loads of fun to be noticed.
